Its one of things you read about but never expect it to happen to you I guess.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/gloucestershire/7193572.stm

I came in just after 9:30 and there were cops everywhere, tape being put up, 'guards' at the entrances of some of the buildings. Was really freaky, considering the Uni didnt tell us anything, nor did the lecturers.

Kinda freaking me out a bit.

probably a suicide:

but the death is not being treated as suspicious.

a fellow teacher found a body at the back of the school I used to work at ..he went to investigate what he thought was a pile of clothes, bags ..turns out it was a neighbourhood man who had blown his head off with a shotgun the night before ..they closed the school for the day

Thats nothing. In my hometown, in a park thats walking distance from my house, there was a SWAT team looking for a guy who killed his ex wife or something, and his abandoned vehicle was in one of the park's parking lots. The had to tell everyone to stay indoors and not let strangers inside.

Also, since ive been living in this apartment (a bit over 1.5 years now) three people have been killed in the complex. The first month was the AK47 death, then a few months later it was with a pistol, and just last month was a stabbing. Im just happy that its getting safer and safer with each murder.

Then add onto that the several students who go to my school that have been hit and killed by a car within a mile of campus, and we've got ourselves a scary place to live.

Yeah but you're in America, no offence, its kinda more...'expected' over there. This is Cheltenham. This is where the posh bastards come for cups of tea and ludicrously expensive shops.

time to move

The first month was the AK47 death,

time to get the **** out of Dodge

then a few months later it was with a pistol,

guns dont kill people, people kill people ..guns just makes it so much easier ..and fun. Time to say sayonara to your apartment complex

and just last month was a stabbing. Im just happy that its getting safer and safer with each murder.

lol, next they'll be choking each other to death followed by fatal tickling

perhaps moving to a less scary place might improve your chances of being shot with a pistol, ak47, stabbed, choked and tickled to death

3 more months, and them im outta here forever. Hopefully where I end up will have only the grievously wounded tickle attacks.

there was a murder at ryerson? really? are the residences right by the campus (dundas/yonge)

Closest I've been to something like this is when a little asian kid at my high school got mashed up by a bus - apparently it was pretty gruesome. A friend later informed me it was the same little asian kid that used to play handball across from us at lunch, which made me feel kinda bad. We used to chuck their ball over the fence whenever it'd roll over to us. =/

What the **** are you still doing there?

You don't want to leave because you are the AK47 murderer, right? :naughty:

When my sister was about 6 (i wasn't born) she went for a walk by herself to an old cometary and on one of the trees there was a man who had hung himself. it was early in the morning so my sister was the first one to find it. I'm so glad I never saw that *shudders

Finishing school. I could just move to a different apartment complex, but its pretty much the same everywhere. One of my friends hears gunshots and police sirens in his complex all the time, and another friend's complex has house break-ins all the time, and he got a bunch of his stuff stolen. Plus his roomate has his car stolen. So ill just be a little prejudice for the last 3 months and walk around ghetto looking people and avoid eye contact.

**** man... we seriously have to move away from this country to one with lower rates of violent crime!
