So, this morning I restarted my computer (Windows Vista OS) because there was a new update from Microsoft. Ever since I restarted the computer though, I have to double and sometimes triple click on windows in the bottom task bar in order to open them. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
Edit: It's really annoying.

You have to click multiple times on a window in your Taskbar to restore it from being minimized? Or are you talking about the Quick Launch/notification area?

I have to click multiple times in the taskbar to restore a minimized window, yes.

This happens with all applications and not just a certain one? Have you tried clicking and patiently waiting?

If you're convinced that the update was the problem, you could uninstall the update for now.

Well, I feel silly now; I rebooted my computer and the problem fixed itself.

Upon installing the update? Yes.
I had to restart again before the problem went away.
