yea... I didn't realize HL2 World stooped as low to host forums for technical help for the stolen compile.

a) note I called it a "stolen compile", not "beta".

b) note that it's "techical help", not just conspiricy, rumors, and whatnot.

HAHA, my stupid post about forces on objects in the water made their front page

This post may have the opposite reaction then you hoped. I have never heard of this website and now definitely will not now.

I did not mean that you should not go there, but that you shold not participate or give them content...

In fact, I think they still belong on lists of HL2 sites. I thought it was a great site... until I found they supported stealing compiles.

I just don't like their practices.

hmm, i also though it was a good siet...but i dont want that either

Ok, seriously, are we supposed to boycott HL2 World?

I tried to post a link to a thread on that site and the "hI2w0r1d.com" was filtered out into "************".

listen up...

We don't support stealing anything. why don't you read the rules of the forum before making stupid accusations here. We simply don't care if people want to talk about somethign that is already there. We don't let people post filenames, places to find them, etc. We're a well run community. At no place on oru site do we promote theft. I own the site, and I've never downloaded the game., so I certainly can't offer technical support. If people want to talk about something they have, so be it.

As for deleting links to my site here, that's childish. We've covered big stories about halflife, we've been featured in newsday, and yes, i put his forum post on the front page about water effects becuase i found it to be an interesting discussion. What the hell is so bad about that?

Let me know please where hl2world promotes stealing anything.

thanks.

Boycott?

The only person that should be boycotted is YOU moron for trying to put two communities that enjoy halflife against each other.

Totally agree, actually it's more silly to ban people for talking about something that 99% have then boycotting a site that does talk about it.

Face it,like it or not,HL2(anon beta) is out there in full force and it's up to Valve to put a stop to the bullsh!t and finish the game

thanks for the support. I just noticed today that there is an affiliate link to hl2arena.com. If I'm censored for covering the leak, then you'd think halflife2.net would order an e-jihad against that site. Maybe you can see why i so perplexed by us being censored (other than that our popularity is going through the roof, and maybe that upset someone).

Also, I have asked for explanations to a mod, and havent gotten straight answers.

we're trying. this place is the king of hl2 communities right now, whichis great. they have strict rules as well, which works well here. we're a little looser around the waistline, which works for us. it's in no way a shot at hl2.net, we just do things a little different. our goal is to deinfe ourselves differently then other sites, and offer some stuff that gives us a good community and great identity. right now, the screenshots and forums seem to do that for us, and we're almost done tweaking the tournaments and ladders module. that shoudl be a lot of fun. we'll be offering prizes.

Geeeze, If you even want to see the screenes you have to register, can any one spell SPAM!

Good things come to those who wait...

That's an idiotic thing to say. You have to register to post to this messge board don't you? Does this board spam you? Have we spammed anyone? No.

It costs money to host files. We move almost a gig a day in data. By registering, it encourages people to join the community, and be a part of *************. We invest alot into hl2world, and hope the community gives back. Asking for people to register is not a bad thing. That's what yahoo accounts are for anyway.

Read the privacy policy of the site. I hate people like you that say things just for the sake of saying them. Unless you get spam from someone, don't make rude accussations.

I think any site revolving around HL2 is a good site. Regardless of weather or not they allow discussion of the beta. It doesnt matter what the site layout looks like, what the site rules are, or how big the sites community is. That stuff doesnt matter. It's that all the sites are based on a video game we've all decide we love. Anyone dedicated enough to take time out of their day to make a site for this game should be praised, not flamed, bashed or doubted. Thats ridiculous. You're like children fighting. Let all HL2 sites do their own thing and shut up.

i'd rather not register to look at screenshots. it's not worth 10 seconds and giving out my email (even if it's kept private).

I hope you don't mean your highly immature and quite frankly embarrassing thread ( http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13275 ).

No Administrator has come forward to say he banned the url or for reasons why but if you've actually tried PMing an Administrator in a mature way asking for answers or for it to be removed then it probably will be soon.

Oh and as this thread was created for the purpose of starting some sort of "war" against HL2World I find there's little point in keeping it open.
