i've tries both pakrat, and bspzip, i must be doing something wrong.

i compile my map create a txt file for the materials i want to include in the bsp, bspzip goes through it fine no errors, the new bsp file is made (it's bigger), but wen i run the map the textures still dont show.

i run pakrat, all goes fine, fix the paths, save it back to bsp, the map size incressed, but still no textures showing.

i'm really puzzled if anyone can help it will be appreciated.

this is even weirder, i used bspzip went through fine no errors, the map size incressed, then i used bspzipGUI, and extracted the bsp, and the textures are imbeded in the bsp, the zip file contained all the materials, but still dont show in game (on other computers then mine).

so pakrat, and bspzip are embeding the textures to the .bsp, the problem is they still dont show in game ???????? i just dont get it.

ok in the bsp, the file structure apears the same as in the root folder (maps, materials, resources exc..).

example if i have a file named : materials/ihatevalve/buttrox.vtf , it'll be in the bsp under the same structure : materials/ihatevalve/buttrox.vtf

but the materials embeded automatically wen compilling the map, arent structured the same,
lets say it's using a default texture like wall01.vtf witch is in the cstrike folder then
example in pakrat the're structured like : materials/maps/de_damrush_final/cstrike/wall01.vtf

so in other words wen i extract the bsp, i end up with a folder, in that folder (cstrike structure) maps, materials, resources, and then if i open the maps folder i have in there another folder called materials with the default materials in them, so basically i tried just changing the paths to the files to be structured like the default materials, and that only ended up giving me errors.

there has to be something i'm missing, i just dont get it.
