Bug in Entanglement Chapter?

I can hear she telling me that alot of combine soldiers are coming so i set up all the turrent..and when i set up the last turrent she says "herethey come" and i hear noise and the gates are being blocked....and i hear the soldiers spekaing..but NO SOLDIERS came..i waited morethen 10 min..no1 comes to attack me!! I just stand there with nothing to do and nowhere to go...and its not the ai_disable problem...ive checked it to be sure!! Anyone else experienced this before?

the gates are suppose to open and then one of the biggest/longest combine fights is suppose to begin, i suggest u reload the level from the beginning. sucks but that should prolly take care of it.

Did you pick up the turrets? The soldiers don't come until all the turrets are activated. Also, the size of the spawn seems to vary on how quickly they die - the more you kill, the more appears. If you make good enough barricades and hide, there may be a surprisingly small number of them, in the end.

Yeah the best bet would be go back to another save or restart the chapter.

Thankfully, your not too far in Entanglement.

Ah, I taught you meant the earlier turret-scene - only the last one has Alyx with you and nothing to build barricades out of. That's right at the end of Entanglement.

Yep.. in the second shootout when you know Judith is a spy, you can take out the turrets and put yourself in where the turrets was... this makes you get like 2-3 combines in each wave... and the rest of the time you just stand there.

You can also put 2 boxes on each other, and hit them with gravitygun to get over the railing on the right side. If you walk in to one of the rooms up there, Alyx will keep talking and the waves will keep coming but they are just running around down there. When Alyx says she's coming, you can jump down and shoot like 5 combines before Alyx drops down.
