Buy HL 2 via steam..GOld Day?

Will we be able to buy Half-Life 2 through steam the day it goes Gold, or will we have to wait for the release day?(If so, I will not buy it through steam, as I would want the box if I have to wait anyways.)

Well Gordon'sFreeman Steam was designed for people who downloading it wouldn't be a problem, like myself. I have cable and it's not much of a problem for me to download a couple hundred megabytes in less than 20 minutes.

So you have a destruction fetish? Heheh. If they do give a discount I hope it's substantial.. Like 15 or 20 bucks. My college loan will stretch a little bit further.

All my siblings are Gamers. I have 2 brothers and a sitster. We own 4 copies of HL/CS, and we will most likely go out and buy 3 copies of HL2 the day it comes out, but if we can get it cheaper on the web, we will end up buying 2 copies online, and one at the store(for all the goodies).
