I've played HL2 and would like to extract and modify an HL2 character into Unreal Tournament 2004. Can you tell me if this is possible, and direct me to the tools I need?

Specifically, I'd like to export to ut2004 Alyx, and G-Man.

Thanks

If you got a license from Valve and only played with people that had HL2 it would be legal.

Sorry I asked...

I had no idea that this would be objectionable.

Please excuse me. Thank you for your replies.

if it's for your own personal use go nuts :) /

and yaeh it's possible to get them from one game to another

who cares>?

anyway yeah its not so complex you need gcfscape to get the model and textures. then you would need to re skin the models to ut2004 skeletons. why exactly do you want to do this anyway?

re: why do I want to do this anyway...

1.) I want to do this for the personal challenge of it.
2.) I like the look of certain characters within the game I enjoy most. For example, I have a great deal of fun playing CTF against a whole army of Homer Simpons, Cat Women, or Cartoon characters. I would like to include the Alyx character.
3.) There is a conversion of the Alyx character for HL2 which has been released. It is so good I'd like to convert it to Unreal.

The first and last of my 3 points are the strongest reasons.

Thanks
