can i put the new update onto a usb drive

i only have 56k, so i cant download with that. i am in collage and have a usb stick. can i just put it on that and transfer to my computer when i go home.
also does any of the updates help the sound stutering.

Just be patient. Let it update overnight (or a few nights). Voila, it's done.
