I have all the requirements it says on the HL2 box, I think. I have an ATI RADEON 9550, is that good enough to handle HL2? Thanks in advance!

Obviously if you have the system requirements that are stated on the box, you will be able to play it.

Edit:
Welcome to halflife2.net/forums! :D

Depends on what you mean by "handle". I have no video card at all (integrated), and I still managed to play (at an average of 25 frames/second, no anti-aliasing, no anisotropic filtering). You have a DirectX9-capable Radeon and you say the machine meets the other requirements, it should be fine.

:/ kamahl if you can play CSS, you can play hl2
what are you playing at!
/me knows kamahl

Yeah, you'll be able to handle HL2 easily, with most settings on High. I played HL2 with a 9600 Pro (Not that much of a difference between a 9550 and a 9600 apparently) with all settings on high and i only had slowdown during 1 scene in the game where i was fighting 2-3 striders. That was it

i have a 9550, it works very well and handles HL2 perfectly.

pity that my processor (athlon XP 1800+) holds it up, so i get the odd pause in gameplay when it gets intense. that cud also be the stuttering bug affecting my machine, however.

yeah my athlon 2400 cant cut it :( very annoying

but hey im going a64 end of may :)

Thanks Guys! I know it said Direct X 9 on the ATI box and for a recommendation on the HL2 box, but I just wanted to be sure.

I don't have CSS. What do you mean "what are you playing at". I don't have HL2 yet, but it should be coming in the mail in a couple days (got it off eBay brand new, and sealed for $32 :) ) And "OJS knows Kamahl"? What does that mean?

Anyway, thanks guys/girls!

OJS obviously thinks he knows you from Counter-Strike Source........?
