Can someone help me istall HL2

First i install the five cd's of half-life2 and when the screen toregester the game came on (the cd key screen) i just skiped it. and clicked finished. i didnt think i needed to fill that in at first. how do i goback to it to type in the cd key. i uninstalled and then reinstall HL2 and i cant find that screen for the cd key. also i already have steam that allows me to play the HL2 demo and it plays fine. I have many other questions about this subject

Why skip it...thats just a stupid thing to do? please try to engage your brain next time.

Try going on the 'browse games' option on the steam menu, then 'Register a product i already own...' button and put your cd key in there. Should work, just take the hint next time, if it asks for the cd key its probably needs it. :|
