Can the G-Man Be Defeated? (Spoilers)

Regardless of allegiance, I hope the Gman never dies or becomes the main antagonist and is “beaten”. The perfect ending for Half-life would be the Gman releasing Freeman from his services; closing his contract with him and telling him that he is no longer needed. Although Freeman would be free, and no longer in a mercenary profession, he'd lose purpose and direction. The effect would be awesome, and very “full circle”.
 
It could just be an alien civilization or an off-world organization with no care for humanity that uses him as a projection to make him seem like hes in human form so Gordon would trust him more. In that case, you can't kill the G-man.
 
imo I agree with you. But since your from Jersey that automaticly makes you a bigger douche then I am. I'm still a douche but your a bigger one.

The only way G-Man can truly be defeated is if everyone suddenly stops buying Half-Life/Valve games. This is next to impossible however due to it's popularity so no, G-man cannot be defeated. ;)
 
If we do need to destroy him, whatever we need to use is in the Borealis.

Yes, because it could bring about another Black Mesa. Gman was responsible for the first, and Eli believes he's going to try and bring about a second with the Borealis. It doesn't have anything to do with the Gman himself.
 
I highly doubt there'd ever be any need to "destroy" the Gman. If the need arose, the Vortigaunts would be there to help.

It's the least they could do after freeing their sorry-asses.
 
u really cant judge if u either want him or not, we kno almost nothing about him, yet he is one of the most important characters in the whole game. The G-man can be defeated, but what good is tht, he always placed freeman in the right position, g man is a mystery

You cant kill the G-Man!! A bit crafty he is, but I think he is of the utmost importance in keeping the human race alive.

...who knows, maybe he is Gordon Freeman..... from the future, gone weird!

His current employer, and perhaps all others (except combine and their allies) seem to be against Combine.
That benefits the Earth as well, but ofcourse, the universe is vast, there's probably tons of other intergalactic empires and wars out there..
But really, do you just want to prevent him from getting Gordon back? Then make Gordon seem like a clumsy jerk.
 
Or, we could get the hand held aperature portal device and trap the gman in an infinate loop hole to which he could never escap whilst we toss cheese and crackers in and laugh at his dismay =D

anyways why would we want to kill the gman? isnt he suppost to be our enployer or something? plus im sure that we would rather wach the gman keep appearing and maybe, just maybe, one day use his powers in a big, gigantic mass of effects where he's doing stuff like picking up men like ragdolls and crushing them.
anyways my theory on the gman is that he's doctor who because he can time travel and all the stuff doctor who does, has a suit and. oh if only he had converses...
 
hmm i know way we can kill him... lets give him a Nuke then blow it up. he will have NO chance
 
When it comes to the gman being able to die, I think he's as mortal as you or I. But in his own dimension, things might be slightly more difficult.
