Can you turn off the "fog" through the windows/doorways?

If you step a few feet back from a window or doorway, you will find that a fog appears over the entrance so you cannot see through to the other side, presumably to enhance performance. Well, I have found this to be really freaking annoying and stupid, especially when you are trying to shoot people from a window and you don't want to stick your damn head out of the place to do it.

So, does anyone know if there is a console command to turn this feature off?

Everything high 1024x768

So it's not me, it's the how the game engine is I guess. And I'm not certain it applies to ALL windows and doors, but I started noticing it halfway through the game.

I've never seen any fog during the game in doorways, i did have a few little gfx problems but i just updated my drivers and it sorted them out. you got the latest drivers for your card?

Yes. I have a 9800XT with the newest drivers and everything is set on high. I know it's not just me! And like I said, I don't think it happens with all the windows and doors, but there are definitely many that do it.

I have the fog too. I think its built into the game to increase framerates indoors although maybe a console setting would turn it off?
