cant get my sdk working

my sdk has worked fine until today when i tried to start it. the loading screen or the launch game window thats pop up was there like its supposed to be. then nothing happens. the sdk meny doesnt appear. i have re-downloaded sdk and i have also re started steam a several times. please someone help me.

Maybe it's the orange box SDK thats not working for you then. Make a shortcut to steam add this as parameters to it:

-applaunch 211 -beta sdk -engine ep1

then restart steam with that shortcut. That should open up the old SDK for you.

but i dont have orangebox. not episode 1 either. do i have to have them to use sdk?!

It is not obligatory to have EP1, for use of old tools it is necessary to open SDK-launch with parameters -engine ep1:
click right mouse button to "Source sdk", select Properties "Set launch options" input -engine ep1
or create desktop shortcut with parameters
