Can't get pass turret part

I have to set up 3 turrets while a birrage of combine come in.

seriously, when one falls, and i use grav gun to pick it up, by the time i turn around 3 combine are already trying to kill me, it's impossible.

and how long does it take her to get to me? really?

someone help... tell me what you did, or how you set up your turrets.

When you find them, they should be facing towards the wall. Pick them up, turn them around, and put them right back in so that they're facing towards the armor and health stations. Then hide in the empty space where a turret would be. Take out your shotgun and be ready to shoot any combine that manage to get past.

The reason this works is because the combine can't throw grenades in there, and buttsmacks with the shotgun only push the turret up against the wall, so they won't fall over.

I put them all at the back of one of the prison cells and hid behind them; none of the combine got past. Watch out for the combine using barrels as shields though!

that part took me the most time! i had to make 8 tries to beat it. My strategy is in the attachment. Basically I hide in the turret cells and watch out for manhacks or kill soldiers once in a while - too man combine and one of them will knock down your turret. When they toss a nade, I try to pick it up manually (no grav gun) and toss it back quickly. If my turrent is knocked over though, I press "E" to pick it up as quickly as possible and move around till it is standing upright. I then hide again in the turret comparment and periodically look through the bullet-proof windows if my other two side turrets are down. It works great!

I built a wall of crates and baarrels against one of the for doors, put a line o3 sentry guns in front of that and crouched between them. You then shoot everything that comes into your sights until Alyx arrives.

Amazing what some people did. I was playing on Hard, and didn't realise I can pick the turrets back up. So they were knocked down fast... and I just kept shooting the rest of the Combine soldiers... and more... and more... has to be one of the hardest moments for me ever. But I did it. After I read some other threads about that, I genuinely felt like an idiot.

On my first go around, half the time I just picked one up with the grav gun (they fire when you have them picked up and upright) and use it as a shield/Machine Gun. Worked well if any combines were really close and in a position to knock em down.
