Can't get vtex to work

Whenever I run vtex.exe, i am prompted to press a key to continue but as soon as I do it just crashes to the desktop. no error message or anything.

I find it ridiculous that this program is command line based also, its 2005 for godsakes, not 1980.

It works for Photoshop v6.x all the way to CS2.

You are dragging and dropping the .tga's over it right?

Not just double-clicking vtex?

You must supply vtex.exe with arguments otherwise it does not see what it is supposed to act apon and will close down.

Doing what Gonzo described is probably the easiest way to use vtex without a GUI.
Do a search for VtexGUI in these forums and there are other GUIs out there as well
