Hey guys.

Having a problem with having any VTF's I compile show up on any of my models in either the model viewer or in Hammer. I'm not sure if the problem is in my VMT's or when I compile everything with studio complier.

My model is in this folder (traintrack.mdl, etc):

counter-strike source\cstrike\models\cody

and my VTF and VMT in this folder (traintrack.vtf and traintrack.vmt) :

counter-strike source\cstrike\materials\models\cody

My VMT file looks like this, its pretty simple, I'm just trying to get the difuse texture to show up :

"VertexLitGeneric"
{
"$baseTexture" "models\cody\traintrack"
}

When ever I load the model, it looks fine, but it has the purple checkerbox texture applied to it. I have been trying to figure out what I am doing wrong all day and havn't been able to come up with a solution. Any help?

Seems right to me. The only problem I can think of is that you have changed the name of the texture after it's been applied to the model in your 3D application.

Make sure the name of your compiled .vtf shares the same name as the .tga you applied to the model in your 3D app.

Yep...its the same..worked on it for another coulpe hours and still absolutly no luck........
