can't reverse sound channels

I have this problem in Half-life 2 that I can't reverse the sound channels in teh menu. So when alex is on my right talking, I can hear her on my left. it screws me up when fighting baddies. I'm using headphones that can only be worn one way. so I'm wondering if there's a way to reverse the sound channels in windows 64 edition?

Do you have an extra surround sound program? Most of the time it can be changed in there.

couldn't find any options, but I solved the problem by plugging the headphones in a jack at the back of my Computer. it's a bit of a pain to reach behind, but I can hear things properly when I finally save up some money for the 5.1 headphones I'll have to plug them in the back anyways. cause they require more jacks. and I only have two at the front, green and pink.

sounds like the connection to the ones in the front is reversed internally, you might have to open your comptuer and rewire it a bit.
