Can't use primary weapon to grab thing

I can't use my MOUSE1 to grap things in my HL2 game. I try to set this action to another button like 'Q' and it still dowsn't work can't sumone tell me whats going on?

I think he's talking about just picking things up with your hands, not with the Gravity Gun. In that case you need to use the "Use" key, which is bound to E by default, I think. Just check the options.

We're all begginers at one point, and even though we may have known how to pick things up, not everybody's the same.

Although granted, if it's the gravity gun you're talking about, then you should have picked up on that when Alyx talked you through it. If it's just picking things up, you were also primed on that when Barney leads you into a room where you have to stack boxes. In any case, you were already given info on that in game.

Then again, you could've just missed it.

Im sorry for picking on him but.... I would think he would evntually try every single button and get it to work without having to come to a forum.
