Changed my vid settings, and now I can't change it back!

Hi!

I changed my vid settings because I was having some problems (I was seeing blavk & pruple squares instead of fire), but then it showed a black screen with this text: "Cannot display video settings".

The game keeps running (I hear the background sounds), but I can't change it back cauz I don't see what I'm doing!

Can help me resetting the vid settings?

Go to steam>games>My Games>[Right Click]Properties>Lunch Options>[Type] "-Window"

I'm pretty sure that will start the game and let you change the video settings.

You can also go to the ../HL2 Episode One/cfg folder and delete the .cfg file. The game will recreate a new one with the default settings.

talking about video settings, everytime i launch any source game my settings are always at default, regardless of saving them previous, and its so damn annoying aving to go into settings each startup to change them to what i want them as. Any suggestions? Cheers

Hmm First I tried deleting the .cfg files with something as config in their name, but still the same problem. After that I deleted all .cfg files, but still.

Can't figure out your steam solution, so I'm reinstalling right now...

I think you can go to the launch options and set the width and heigh there but can't remember the exact commands.

SOMEHOW it remembered the settings, even after a reinstall...
But here´s a thought:
Can someone tell me the exact way to get to those settings? Like, two down, enter, one down enter? That would help me out as well...
