changing weapon names

in the weapon selection thing in the half-life 2 game, I put the Colt 1911 skin on the game, but it still says 9mm pistol under the menu. is it possible to change it to say: Colt 1911 ? If so, how?

You would have to redo the sprites, much effot. I wouldn't bother.
