Choppy Sound in HL2

Anyone know how I can make the sound less choppy? It's really annoying. I have a MacBook with 4 GB RAM. The game runs pretty well unless I'm around the helicopter, then the sound cuts in and out horribly.

What resolution do you have the game running at?

Try running the resolution 1 or 2 steps down, see if that helps, this probably a porting bug anyway, a future update will probably resolve this issues.

I'm running at 1280x800. I tried reducing it but it seemed the same. I actually own the game for PC also and when I play it on my windows partition (same MacBook) it doesn't have the problem. So, yeah, you're probably right about it being a porting issue.

It's most likely a porting bug as hot says.

You can try reducing the resolution that it's working with, as that can cause sound issues, if other people are having this problem on a MacBook, then maybe you should report it.
