I can't find this anywhere, so I was wondering if you guys know.

The Collector's Edition comes with Half-Life Source. Does that include updated Opposing Force and Blue Shift expansions? Are there updated versions of these on Steam?

I'm expecting it doesn't because they would probably be listing that on the box if it did. Just thought I'd ask anyways.

The CE won't include Opposing Force or Blue Shift, and I don't think there're any plans for Source versions of either.

I gather that the Steam Gold package of HL2 includes Valve's entire back catalogue of games, but I've heard that BS will never be added to that.

they should make a Opposing Force for HL2 and you get to play as the combine and i just wanted to quickly ask is HL2 collecters edition comeing out everywhere world wide like UK,Australia, etc or is it just coming out for the US?

Hey someone explain this, sense i ordered the GOLD version in steam, i know i will have it unlocked in my system the second hl2 is out, but it said i get the collectors edition box, so does that mean i also get a physical hl2 cd case and all the cds in it?

Silver also has the back catalogue.

ok dont worry i went into EB and they had it so i pre ordered it and paid all of it off.

No. I don't believe it does.
Not immediately anyways.
England and Australia always seem to gets their games late for some reason.

Yeah usually, but I think Vivendi want to release the game around the world at the same time. To avoid piracy and such.

The countdown to the highly anticipated retail street date has begun around the world, as VU Games completes plans to ship localized versions of Half-Life 2 simultaneously in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean, Thai and Japanese.
From the press-release.

They are planning to make OF:S and BS:S but they wont be out until next year, I have read quotes saying they are converting ALL origonal content and that Blue Shift would probably be added to Steam and even remastered in source
