Combine cosplay

I have an almost completely formed plan to make a civil protection suit not for cosplay but my own eternal happiness.

The only big fat irritating part is the mould for the mask. I want to start with modelling clay but i need high detailed reference.

To get that I've been looking at how to open the game models in freeware 3d software. It looks to be dastardly devious. My question is.

Is there any file available for download of the CP model or skin or mdl or whatever they are? Then at least I know where to start.

You could just open the model in the HLMV to view it, or decompile the .mdl to get an .obj, which you can then bring into your 3d program. You'd need a separate decompiler for that.

I dont have the game on pc so it makes it hard to get the model from the net.
