Combine flare gun in Barricade vid?

I spottted this just now, (only seen the vid twice) when gordon and the guys get past the barracade, keep looking at the guy high up on the lookout point thing. You can see a flare of some kind go off up into the air!

check the other threads about the video, its been mentioned a dozen times. Also the fact that it had this ugly "box" around it has been spoken of.
