Compile toolkit using old QC files?

I am currently making a breakable. I was having some trouble so I compiled the reference model and each of the pieces as a static object to have a look at them in hammer. Then I went back and added in the line that gives them physics properties... the one that contains something like "pottery.medium" and I "commented out" the static prop line.

When I recompile the models, supposedly as physics props and open them in the model viewer, they're still static props and they still have the old collision model name (I changed the name).

I searched the compile toolkit folders, I searched the valve folder and I deleted anything that wasn't my current qc file. Yet when I recompile them they still have all the old info from the first time I compiled it as a static prop.

Has anyone experienced this? The only thing that I can think of is that it's been written to the HL2.gcf and somehow when I recompile it's not being replaced.
