Computer restarts when game starts, please help

I have been having a problem with all my games that run via steam. Whenever i start up one of the games it gets to the main menu of the game and then restarts my computer .
Then when my computer restarts it says it is my nvidia graphic card drivers have had an unknown error. My current drivers are the ones off of the Battle Field 2 disk and are currently up to date. Can anyone help me?

fikin lol. It almost sounds like a R rated Movie.

What driver version did BF2 came with? Sorry I didn't play that game.
Assuming that you use Windows XP Home/Pro Right-click screen, Property, Settings, Advanced, hit the card name and you will see all of the basic info of the card including forceware version (If your card name doesn't show there on top menu option) hit adapter, properties, driver and you will see driver version. if you don't have version 81.98 or 8.1.9.8 go here http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.html and download new version.
Before you install new driver uninstall old driver by way of Add/Remove programs in your Control Panel and removing Nvidia Display Driver including all of your previous personal settings and then reboot your system and install new driver. While you're at it try and see if your sound card driver needs an update.
