Console command for changing texture resolutions?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a console comand that can change the resolutions of specific textures. Namely, a lot of the render-to-textures used for things like camera/monitors (Breen speeches), water reflections and lens refractions. I was hunting through the console this morning trying to find a command for it, but came up with nothing. Does anyone else have any idea?

Yeah i need this too - game crashes when I try to change advanced video settings.

I need: texture detail, and shader detail turned down

Actually the primary reason I need this is because the resolutions of them are not changed using the advanced options menu, but I want it improved. (and it should be easy: I know from experience it's basically changing one number)
