console font is too small :(

Hi there,

after 2 hours of searching the web and different config files in steam, you're my last hope

As you can see, the console font is too small to really read the text.
So far, I know:
a) independent of game (i.e. CSS and HL2 have the same font size)
b) independent of account (i.e. a friends' account has the same problem, with HL2 and CSS)
c) independent of user settings for the GUI or HUD (because of b)

I tried the following:
- restoring original HUD settings
- changing font sizes in TrackerScheme.res
- reading through a lot of config files like settings.scr, user.scr, valve.rc, ClientScheme.res, ...
- changing resolutions of the game (result: the fonts are sized as well)
- deleting ClientRegistry.blob

I'm desperate. All I can think of: there has to be some global setting for this stupid font thingie. Can someone help me out on this one? Is it possible that my windows font is broken? If so, which font is used in the console?

Mmmm....have you tryed changing your resoultion?...see if that works.

Whoops, forgot to mention that. Yes, I tried, but the console font seems to change "accordingly". I tried figuring out the font, it seems like Verdana, about 5 or 6 points in size. But that doesn't help me at all

Thats crazy! Tried logging into a friends account from your computer, redownloading the content *i know, it will take forever, but its a test right?* and see if that helped? if so, just copy his shit over to yours, and VIOLA!

Ok, problem solved - my windows font seem to have been broken or even missing. I think it was Lucida Console. A friend sent me his fonts directory and now everything looks pretty
