'Conspiracy' slips under the radar

It's been posted on HLFallout, Interlopers and the Mod-HQ, but somehow news of new single-player Source mod Conspiracy has managed to slip under the radar here at HL2.net and also over at PHL. It's obvious that its creator, General Vivi, has already done a lot on the project before announcing it to the modding world, with a short trailer (9mb) giving a us a teasing look into what is yet to come. The website (link below) also provides some information on the mod's premise, which puts the player in the shoes of a "mechanically enhanced Gordan Freeman". Intrigue abounds! (and the mapping doesn't look half bad, either) And yes, you did hear right - it's single-player! :thumbs:

Conspiracy mod is a fast pace action thriller with a story plot twist that will make you crave for more. You play as a mechanically enhanced Gordon Freeman in a city not to far off from city 17 . With Gordon's new abilities you must seek out the truth behind how you arrived at your current location and what the strange visions you've been having mean. Your journey takes you through many twists and turns as you fight your way across rooftops, battle enemies, meet new friends and lead the citizens to freedom.While all of this is happening you sense that something isn't right and that certain things are happening for a reason. As Gordon you must find out what all of this means before its to late and you become the Conspiracy.

Definitely, but releasing it in two sections was oh so cruel!

Anyway, about this Conspiracy mod, there's one screenshot (the one with the guy standing at the fridge) which really rings a bell and I -think- the mapper posted a WIP of this location in the mapping forum. I did a few searches but couldn't find the thread I was thinking of, but I could swear I remember the exact same textures (both the panel and the wall one). Maybe it's just me going crazy.

Not quite MINERVA itself, but it's Creative Writing Week over at the MINERVA blog thingy. Hooray, and all that.
