Controller Layout

I just got this game and I'm using a Saitek Rumble Force controller. Are there any recommended settings or layouts for the game. Every scenario I come up with seems ackward. I am never able to kill anyone fast enough. Also how do you use the gravity Gun, what is it for?

Gravity gun is for picking up objects and blasting enemies with objects in the world. Also used for game puzzles and making forts

Use the console "~" (enable in advanced controls if it's not already)
Have you changed the sensitivity of the joysticks?
joy_pitchsensitivity .2
joy_yawsensitivity -.6

Are you playing on easy with auto aim? Maybe you could turn the auto aim range up. Start with these and see.

hmm, just realised this is for HL2: DM, auto aim won't work so great on multiplayer so skip that

No, I'm like 32 years old. I had no idea there was even something called a deathmatch on the game. I really don't try to keep up with that stuff. Me and my wife just defeated Halo and this game was recommended to me by a fellow student at night school. Great game both ways and I'm glad to have it.
