Coop with the single player campain?

hey all I'm woundering if a coop version of the single player campain has ever been tried for the pc versions of Half Life 1 or 2? If so did it work out?, where there any probems?

Cant find any sp coop on that site.

You can play through the SP campaign in Half-Life 1 with Sven Coop. I don't think there's any mods for Half-Life 2 that will allow you to play through the SP levels (reasonably glitch-free)

sven coop is the only decent one for hl1 and it was awful - mildly diverting but ridiculous - zombies that could resist direct rpg hits, general poor thought out monster placement and challenges
there are no good ones out yet for hl2 -tim coop and synergy are awful laggy and very bad for your system

edit what am i talking about the excellent garry's mod has coop support - get it now version 9 coming soon!!!!!!
