i ran Half Life 2 before and it worked, that was a couple months ago. but now it doesnt..it updates steam..and before it finishes..it says that..

Pentium 4 2.6
512 RAM
Radeon 9000

yes HL2 runs on it haha

Try reinstalling Steam. (Make sure you don't accidentally delete all your HL2 files , cut and paste them to another folder)
