Could Someone Please Help Me Out???

I just wanted to know if it is possible to play Half Life 2 with a control pad rather than the keyboard?? I recently bought a rumble pad and can't quite get it to work with the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :cheers:

It should be possible in theory. I've not tired it myself though yet, but you really should try the keybaord/mouse combo (if possible) as that is the best way to play an FPS.

Thanks for the advice, maybe I'll give the keyboard another try, I just find it hard playing while sitting so close to the screen.

Check out this thread about controllers vs keyboard, for FPS games on the pc be glad you have the ability to use a mouse to aim, analogue sticks are really for consoles. Honest to god its better!

It won't work correctly. Not all of the controls will fit, so you will have to pick "important" ones.

I have a gamepad, I'd try it with HL2 and CS:S (just for fun) but I don't know how to bind stuff to the buttons :/. I'd like to join a CS:S server and kill someone while using my gamepad.
