Could this be turned into an advantage for Valve somehow ?

I was thinking, what if some REALLY GOOD CODERS out there could join up and try to help Valve improve some parts of the Code ?
Mostly in Performance-Code, not any Security-related, dunno .

Only if Valve wants that of course.
And only if it doesnt delay the game further .

Again, only ppl who really know their share of coding should participate in something like this, not every "Hello, World"-Dude out there, that would just turn into some violent spam .

Hmm i don't think so, seeing as we're pretty sure this is old, incomplete code. Valve would have to release the proper code to the 'volunteer coders' before they could help....So 'No' really.

It may be good as an educational tool.. it may be good for the game... it may be good the gamers (most likely not.. cheats)

but for valve as a company.. I think its probably not too good.. but i'm sure they'll get around this
