Crazy problem with spawning NPCs with weapons

I want to use the console to spawn enemies and such but whenever I spawn them, they scream like they've been hit and then they have their arms stretched out to the sides. What gives?!?! :angry:
 
AI doesn't work in v8 unless you set relationships and stuff to tell the NPCs who to attack. In previous versions AI worked in single player without having to mess around with relationships, but that doesn't work in v8 because GarrysMod now runs on the HL2DM code. I think.
 
i just type in npc_create npc_antlions etc....

i used to have to type this realllyyy long command before, but lately they just attack after the first command, wierdly..

What a load of crap. :hmph: This release seems like it was rushed. Looks like I'll have to use V7 for the time being.

Why the HL2DM code? I liked it the way it was. Why can't they implement the regular HL2 code for single player and HL2DM for mulitplayer? :flame:
 
Yeah i notice the same thing they just look at you with there arms stretched out and they only take one shot to kill them, i was looking forward to having some awsome npc battles on the long awaited garry's mod v8.

Did you see my post? http://gm.meg-tech.com/ Let's you spawn NPCs and gives you more things to spawn.
 
Humanoid gun totting npcs will not work because the way the weapons work in hl2dm the animations are named different for holding the weapons, etc as well as the walk animations. That is why they just sit in ragdoll pose.
