Curious why hacker give away the source engine, why not keep it himself?

Its possable that the hacker who got it (if it was a hacker) did not know what it is, alot of hackers just..hack, no reason for it, just to get into something he is not ment to be in, and took this while he was at it

also, I doubt he could sell it to anyone who would matter
