The end of the world is sooner than we think.

Awesome. I'm going out and buying a shotgun and 3,000 shells. I've always wanted to fight off a horde of zombies! *Dances with glee*

You should start a revolution against your oppressive government.

You just gotta love the beauty of Family Guy.

Guns are for sissies. I could just call my buddy Krueschev up and he'll nuke the mother ****ers. Bomb and fallout shelter sold seperately. :|

I'm really amazed by this... The things evolution can do. So basically, the wasps injects this stuff into a roach, and it changes the roach's instincts or something to one that gives it the urge to follow the wasp? That's amazing.

Perhaps if we can analize this substance, and find out how it works, we can modify it to make it work on other creatures. But I imagine that more complex organisms will need more complex solutions.

It's not really the substance as such, it's where it injects it in the brain.
I expect the substance is a simple alkaloid toxin simmilar to "normal" wasps sting, the "zombie" part of the roach is a bit of an exaggeration, the wasp sort of "guides" the roach to it's lair, you imagine if you are completely drugged up and someone takes you by the arm.....you'll just go along with it.
The live roach provides a living food supply for the eggs, rotting bugs arn't always good for eggs.

My god, that's insane. I'm buying fifty foot of mosquito net to build a full-body anti-wasp-zombie suit now.

You fool! they will evolve around any obstacle to impregnate you with their eggs!
Anti wasp suit? hah! They'll evolve a nylon disolving compound and then get you!

They should give this wasp the common name "Brain surgeon wasp"

Shit. Shit!

Better avoid Scotland. Zombie midges! D:

I wonder will this work on Pamela Anderson...

Theres a parasite that does this to ants too, It makes the ants climb plants and hang off of the leaves with its mandibles. Then a certain grazer (cant remember which) eats the plants with the ants on it and gets infected.

It's a bird isn't it? Then the parasite reproduces in the bird. The eggs come out in the bird crap which is eaten by ants, or something like that.

I know what you mean, it's sheep I think not birds. Can't remember infects the ants though.
