"Dark Energy" Maps - HL2

I've got quite a unique dilemma. See, on the "Dark Energy" maps of HL2, some of you may remember the scene inside Breen's office? Well, I really liked the feeling of being immensly high, with a nice sunset and orange light coming in through the windows. I've had a lot of trouble recapturing this charm when making maps in Hammer and was wondering if anyone knew a way I could actually get a hold of the map itself featured in the game - I would greatly appreciate it. By this i mean the file i can actually look at and edit within Hammer.

Ah i thought to add a screenshot of the section i mean. I couldn't find a really good image off google images, so I'll start up HL2 and take a screenshot of the exact part I like, but for now the following image gives at least a small idea.

See the window in the background? That's the kind of light I liked.
 
I thought the feeling was awesome. Sure, the quality wasn't good, but the feeling was just like HOLY SHIT AWESOMENESS.

Anyway, that is off-topic. What Flippy wants is the light, which I have no idea on how to make.

HL 2 is not a flight sim, they don't have to make a 3D city just so we see it for less than a minute. And HL 2 used lo-res textures throughout the game so mid-range PC's could run it (unlike Doom 3).

No, see I can make light easy. I'd like to be able to get a hold of the map itself so i can see how the whole thing is made.

Can you suggest where I _should_ post the thread - it would be greatly appreciated, otherwise your post helps me very little.
 
Just ignore bbson_john, he's the village idiot. Download GCFscape, vmex and extract the file from the GCF's :)
I've the map...but I'm not too good at explaining it. I'll move your thread though - no harm done :)
