i want to host an internet game...but it keeps hosting lan games instead. on source ded server...i click internet as opposed to lan before i launch and it still creates a game with my network ip. wtf. is there a way i can manually change the ip it is hosting with to my internet ip so that people can actually join?

typed both of those in console. it says i have an internet game up but it is still using my network ip to host the game. that ip is the only problem i am having, if it only displayed the correct ip, i might be able to get people to join. is there like some file i can edit that will correct this?
NICE....turns out my comp wasnt on the dmz mode. i guess you have to turn off all comps on your network and THEN turn on dmz (for the server computer at least) or it wont work. it gets the ip from the default gateway, and if that gateway is your network ip, source ded server will set up a game using that ip....no matter what you choose on the pulldown menu - internet or lan. so yeah in conclusion your default gateway needs to be set to your internet ip address, and not your network address. check your firewall settings if you wish to tinker with this.
