This isn't really "rumor or speculation", just information but I didn't know where else to put it hehe.
When my older brother played the CS:S beta he noticed those posters and writings on the wall and let me know that it was indeed Farsi and not Arabic. He couldn't translate all of them but one of them said "CS Source rocks!" something along those lines, the rest was really hard to read because we were playing on a laptop with low texture detail.
And yesterday I noticed the writing in the lower right hand corner of the white-board picture taken from Shmozy's trip to Valve. I had that translated too but it's just jibberish this time around, some random letters "KKHD".
I learned that it was Dhabih Eng behind the writings, Senior artist over at Valve who is half-persian. That's all, just thought I'd let people know and correct the mistake since the last thread discussing the subject was locked and left the impression that it was Arabic.
