Picking up the grenade from the Combine with the GG, throw it back to them?

It can blast thru the wooden board wall, or sometimes, the metal plate wall.

I wonder if I can get the blue GG earlier in the game with cheat code and try this too.

you can throw the nades back at them with the gravity gun, yes. i did a few times, but generally thats a bit risky.

you can't get the blue gravity gun without going to that level and then switching to another; there's no cheat code for it.

yeah, just picking them up with the super gg is generally easier :E

Yeah, I tried it before, it was fun.

And I don't think you need the blue GG for this. The orange one can do it.

I saw it in an E3 video. Never tryed it.
Personally I like Impulse 101'ing on Dark Energy and throwing them into those Dark Energy generators.

I had to do it because my squad kept getting blow up. I've also noticed that I can push a headcrab with the normal gravity gun. It's fun pushing them off cliffs.

I started doing the grenade thing on my second go through the game. If you learn to make the G instinctively linked with the "*puit!*" sound of a grenade starting a count, then it's not so hard.

What is very irritating is accidentally picking up your own turret, or some miniscule fag butt (no explanations ), and then having the gren go off when you're standing there, screaming.

Well i had to use the gravity gun for my strategy in nova prospect.
Remember the bit where you have to set up turrets and the gaurds keep coming?......not the teleporter but the first one.
Well i did something special i knew would work, i put all the boxes and stuff in 1 of the cells with all the turrets facing the door.......they could not be nocked over at all because they were jammed in tight.......anyone who came in the door was blasted by them and me with the shotgun.
The only problem was grenades being chucked in, but as soon as one came in i hit G and threw it back out at them

Believe it or not i lost NO health in that bit.

I try to pickup gernades and throw them back, but they always blowup in my face. I prefere blasting manhacks at the combine.

I like picking up barrels and throwing them at the Combines. It's fun to see them getting crushed by barrels.

Pull the focker that tossed it at you and set his ass down directly ontop of the nade and yell 'FIRE IN TEH HOLE' as you run away. Teach that little shit a lesson or two about tossing nades at a goddamn scientist who's been through hell and back. Did this on my first time through, it's pretty much essential on the anticitizen and follow freeman chapter, cause my fellow resistance members seem to generally underestimade the nade and move just half a meter away from it.

Three or four blasts can kill them (and the poison headcrabs too). I usually had the gravity gun out so it was easier to just blast them than switch weapons. It's kinda neat -- you can crouch down, wait 'til they jump at you, and blast them away while they're in mid-leap.

As for the grenades, I used the grav gun on those too, but usually just tossed 'em some place random since I panicked too much to aim back at the combine.

Sorry to say but picking up a grenade with the gravity gun is a common occerence, thanks to the E3 2004 trailer

The grenade would always land and I'd only start to think of picking it up about 4 seconds later when its about to go off. Once or twice I did manage to thrown one successfully back.

I remember what i did on deathmatch.. a noob tossed a nade at me i used my G-Gun tossed to him and killed about 5 rebels in the proccess at once

thats like one of the first things i did when i got the gravity gun, after watching the e3 movie over and over being jealous that i couldnt do it myself, now i find myself doing it everytime there a nade thrown at me
