Difference between X800XT Platinum and Non platinum?

I was wondering what is the difference between a

X800XT

X800XT Platinum

Because the non-platinum costs less, but i dont know the difference.

A tiny bit of speed - nothing you'll really notice. Get the PT if you can find it cheap, otherwise the standard XT is a wiser choice.

(I paid an extra 15 pounds to get the Platinum, not sure if it was worth it)
