i just got half life two a few days ago. i beat it 5 minutes ago!!!!

i was wondering, before i waste more of my life on this holy game.

is there any difference in the story line when you play it on hard?

It would be a bit strange if they made it like that, wouldn't it?

ooh, a youngster

There was a time long ago, a GLORIOUS time, when they made games for those of us who actually wish to be challenged. Back when you had to do EVERYTHING on hard mode to unlock the real ending. For instance, in the first few Sonic games, you had to get all the Chaos Emeralds to even GET to the final level. And then you had to beat the darn thing, which was rarely easy. More telling still was Rocket Knight Adventures, in which each step up in difficulty unlocked another level at the end.

Sadly, they don't make games like that anymore. The closest we get are crappy good vs. evil choice games with cop-out endings like Deus Ex, KOTOR, and Fable. Skill used to mean something in the video game world. Now it's all style over substance, and only a few really cool games (like HL2) should be allowed to get away with it.

Give me a little ship that dies in one hit over a health bar and shield any day.

Yea, i really wasnt worried aobut the actually game difficulty
i wanted it to be easy because i was really into the story line
