Disappearing NPC's

Quick question.

When I create NPC's from binding them to a key, i.e. bind 10 citizens v 10 combines, how come they disappear, evaporate when they're killed?

is there something that's causing this? they never used to, they always used to fall to the ground.

Are they there close up, or do they disintegrate like as though they were hit by the pulse rifle's secondary?

Mine just dissappate the weapons.
 
IIRC, it's a script tied to the super-gravity gun. If you just have the normal model, things won't disintigrate.
 
Why? He didn't mention the super-grav-gun. Just... spawning npc's via the console.
 
Ahh, yeah I'm pretty much just setting up situations like Metro's vs. Citizens etc. I have the Organic manipulator in my inventory. Thanks for the help.

Will I have to get rid of the gun or just switch the weapons around?
 
If you did the level change thing to get the script running, you'll need to start a game where you never went to that level. So you can't have the organic gravity gun at all. If you want to manipulate NPC ragdolls, i'd advise using garry's mod to move things. Aside from that to stop confusing yourself, just start a map from new (putting map 'mapname' in console, or start a new chapter section), just don't do the changelevel d3_citadel_01 thing before you start.
