Hey everyone my first post here, im glad im part of this forum. Straight to the point. I have a HP Pavilion Media Center TV TV m7570n (Pentium D 2.8 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD)computer. I have been looking at Half Life 2 for years now and I thought that I could never make enough money to buy a system to play it. Well i bought that sytem for myself not really thinking of gaming.

Now, this comp that i have is a duel processor, and I really need help to find a graphics card that can run it on highest settings, the thing is that i only have $250 to buy one. If anyone can tell me a card that can do this for that price I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!!

You shouldn't have a problem running HL2 at 1920 with maximum settings with the X1950XT.

But bear in mind that HL2 isn't a resource hog as some other games like Oblivion, R6:Vegas, GRAW etc. (Partly because the technology of the source engine isn't at the top of the class, compared to the other games mentioned above and partly because it has been optimized very well).

But if you can cough up another $50 get the 8800GTS 320MB version. That blows every other card (except the 8800GTX and possibly 8800GTS 640MB version) out to sea... hands down.
