do the Race X aliens come from Xen?

The argument of whether the Race-X came from Xen has been going on for awhile.
I personally believe that they come from another dimension. After you see Gordon Freeman escape through the teleporter, Adrian enters a portal that leads to Xen. This portion of Xen contains an odd structure, a crystal attached to a floating rock is "gripping" a small portal that is releasing tiny lights. These lights enter a portal leading to Black Mesa and can be seen throughout the game where ever Race-X appear.

I believe the crystal you see on Xen is the portal used by the Race-X to enter our dimension through Xen, a method quite similar to the relay system used in the Lambda Complex.

Keep in mind that spore launchers that use the same spore grenades as shocktroopers were found in glass containers throughout the Biodome Complex in Op4. This leads me to believe that they perhaps shared the Borderworld to some extent with the creatures aligned with the Nihilanth.

Secondly, in a letter Laidlaw said RaceX were "most likely" a species that also used Xen to teleport like humans; they used the Black Mesa rift to free their babies which had been captured by the Black Mesa survey teams.
