DODS menu music help

Ok, so over the last few weeks the music stopped playing on the main menu when i open dods, didnt bother me until now. Now whenever i join a server, it plays the music for about 2 min. its really annoying cuz i cant hear footsteps or pretty much anything cuz the music is so loud. anyone know how to completely disable music, or fix this glitch i ran into.

Try typing in "stopsound" in the console.
Also, sound console commands are often marked with the prefix "snd_". So you might want to try browsing through those commands (just type snd_ in the console and use the up and down arrow keys to browse)

I have the exact same problem. This happenend to me yesterday. Ill try snd_ and see what I get
