Does anyone not like Counter-Strike?

Counter-Strike's ok, I'd much rather play HL2 though... I hope HL2 has more unique mulitplayer options, instead of the repackaged games on the source engine. (I understand how popular CS is, but i'm just looking to branch out.)

I didn't like CS much, but CS:S is different. I love it.

first off, the rant was uncalled for... 98% of the people posting here were saying they loved CS.. so I dont know where what town/city you live in, where a lynch mob consists of a couple people.... but hey whatever.

secondly, I can't stand CS, I really can't.. played it in the first alphas and betas but the more it matured the more bored with it I became. I try playing it every now and then, and have the odd good game... but still I can't stand the graphics, the random accuracy or the retarded hitbox recognition.
(not to mention all the children and people with the intellectual capacity of a fish tank)

I have played CS:S and I can say with certainty that CS:S is rock solid.
the differences are noticeable...

first off the accuracy is much MUCH improved.. no longer does scoring a hit depend on luck.
The Hitboxes are accurate instead of aiming for someone's feet and getting a headshot.. aim pays off.
movement feels better and the graphics are tremendously awesome.
(graphics are a big deal to me, I am a gfx whore)
the little touches like physics, and the brilliant sound (you can always tell where someone is) really make the game kick-serious-ass.

have you played CS:S? because things have changed.... my little brother is a CS Freak, and he loved CS:S but even he said its a big difference.

so yeah I loathe CS, but I love CS:S (I have played both)

Counter-strike is the most widely played game on the internet...period. There is no disputing that, I love it, but I get pissed when shots don't register and shit doesn't go my way >:-0

But thats why I bought a new computer. Highlight spoiler to see specs. Can't wait to play. Prolly won't even play I will prolly just walk around testing sh*t to see what happens

Secondly fair enough, you've played the BETA so atleast you've come along with a bit of backup to what you're saying, and I won't be playing till tomorrow so I couldn't really say how much of a difference there really is. My opinion is based on the fact that game speed and objective etc IS the same, hence gameplay should be fairly similar (obviously better cos of the physics gfx etc)- So if you don't like the style of gameplay then there's a chance you won't be over enamoured with the source version.

I'm not saying definitely, I'm just saying there's a chance thats all.

I too am a total whore for the gfx, but when it comes to multiplayer I don't mind not having the best gfx I only look for enjoyment thru killing people!
And yes there are a whole bunch of retards playing CS, but only because there are so many people playin all the time- the ratio of decent people to IQ of 10 people is the same as many games theres just more of everyone.

Wasn't trying to start anything it was just a few comments that bugged me, from others who sounded like they didn't even know what the original CS was...

So to all you who love or hate CS and have played the BETA and either love or hate that with opinions based on reality you're all OK by me

Agreed, I hate CS 1.6 but I can't wait to play CS:S, it is not even the same game from what I've seen.
