But i get all that crappy steam bullshit. (man steam sucks)
So does someone know how I can hack it?

You mean, a friend gave you a loan of HL2, you've tried to install it, and Steam has told you the CD key is use or something similar?

If that's the case, you probably can't play it. You may need to purchase your own copy.

And hacking = bad. :O
