May seem like an odd question, but do you think your PC has a personality?

Personally I am convinced mine has, and it reflects my own personality. I was just ripping some 60s audio CDs for a DVD my sister's making, when my PC locked up, and turned itself off. Funnily enough, it locked up at one of cilla blacks tracks - I think my PC hates her as much as I do.

Not only this, but whenever i'm in a good mood, my PC works fine. Whenever i'm stressed out or annoyed, my PC makes stupid mistakes, programs get glitchy, etc. I'm certain my PC and I have become telepathically linked.

I downloaded a mandy moore song for my wife, i told her my computer would explode having that on my hdd. Sure enough my motherboard sploded

I can honestly say i've noticed that too. When i'm not a happy bunny, things will minimise or go to the back without me asking it to. The start menu will not appear instantly, and as you said, happy things are quick and fast. Sometimes something will work faster or without me trying hard to do it because everything is going right. I totally agree with you on that! :)

I've had strange things happen like this. Sometimes I'm playing a game and say "Just one more go" as it's late or something but I sometimes keep going. On some occasions the computer decides to restart its self as if to say "It's time to get off".

Actually, thinking about it..kinda see where your coming from...:O

I think there's some truth behind it. I saw a documentary where a completely random load of numbers were generated on a display were actually influenced by a human mind alone - It's undeniable that our minds have an influence on technology around us. Just how complex and meaningful that influence is, nobody knows.

The experiment was something like this, but i'm not sure it was this exact one.

Yes. Temperamental and prone to illness.

My BIOs locked me out of VCORE voltage control and is being a bitch by setting it as low as possible making the system unstable unless I don't overclock as high.

Before, I was at 2.88 GHz... now I'm at 2.68GHz

my internet acts like me too.

its all slow and crashes unless im downloading porn, in which case it works perfectly

After I forcibly mind-wiped it it lost it. But before it was trying to trip me up at every moment.

Well it's official. 50% of people believe their PCs are alive, compared to 13.16% that don't. 36.84% of people have been excluded from this poll for being gh3y.

If mine had a personality, it'd be a cheap whore doing all manner of dirty acts.

my pc has a persecuation complex ..he knows he's going to be replaced soon and isnt too happy ..keeps looking at me with this awful blue-eyed stare that's part contempt and part pleading

shut up you or I'll rip out your ram

My laptop is a ****ing **** and I'd kill it if it were a person.

Yes, my rig has a bad ass personality. He isn't called Brutus for nothing.

Haha i have to agree with this, same thing happens to me most of the time. but in general i dont consider only my pc to have a personality, my entire music hardware setup, my mixer, modules and my monitors, synths etc all look and feel lovely. the smell of the stuff and connecting everything makes it feel like a friend and its fun trying to get it to do what i want it to do

i love to keep everything on at night so i can fall asleep watching all the little twinkly lights. :)

My PC always seems like a grumpy, grumbling old man, grudgingly doing what I want it to but posessing a good (if perverse) sense of humour. Occasionally, though, he's just a bitch.

This is probably more me projecting emotions onto it, though.

My computer has personality
Sometimes is more like Butthead and he goes like:
"Me: Computer open My Computer"
"He: Open....huh,huh,huh...."
